LINCOLN, R.I. (Feb. 3, 2012) – Tyler King left the Twin River Event Center with the biggest win of his young career Friday, and his own personal hardware.
The former NFL offensive lineman from Stoughton, Mass., delivered one of the most impressive knockouts of the night, stopping previously-undefeated Eric Bedard 4 minutes, 17 seconds into the opening round with a left knee to the chin in the first half of the heavyweight co-main event at "Extreme Measures," presented by Jimmy Burchfield's Classic Entertainment & Sports, New England's No. 1 combat sports promotion in 2011.

The last time Greg Rebello stepped inside the cage, he left covered in blood. You should've seen the guy who lost.
The Providence, R.I., native put a bloody end to his Sept. 9 bout against Cody Lightfoot with a sneaky, left kick to the forehead, opening a cut above Lightfoot's eye that eventually prompted referee Kevin MacDonald to stop the fight in the second round.
"I knew he had a good chin and would be difficult to stop, so my plan was to cut him up," Rebello said. "It worked out better than I thought it would."

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Dec. 20, 2011) – Scott Rehm is the first to admit what everyone else is thinking each time he steps inside the cage.
"You have to think on age alone I'm the underdog," said the 46-year-old father of four. "Every now and then, I ask myself, ‘Do I belong here?' In my mind, I do."

One of Todd Chattelle's goals upon signing with Classic Entertainment & Sports was to eventually win a fight by submission before the end of his career.
"Maybe an arm triangle or an arm bar," Chattelle said in August.
How about a guillotine?
Chattelle (10-6, 8 KOs) stunned a packed house Friday night at the Twin River Event Center by submitting Brett Oteri (8-3) of Taunton, Mass., via a guillotine at the three-minute, 18-second mark of the opening round to capture CES' inaugural middleweight championship in the mixed martial arts division.

On a night when undefeated records fell by the wayside, Mariusz Wach made sure at least one fighter escaped with his perfect record intact.
Defending his World Boxing Council (WBC) International heavyweight title for the first time, Wach stopped pesky veteran Jason Gavern (21-9-4) at the 1:03 mark of the sixth round Saturday at the Mohegan Sun Arena to retain the belt and improve to 26-0 with 14 knockouts. Ranked No. 8 in the WBC, Wach knocked down Gavern in each of the first two rounds, but the Chicago native – ranked 29th in the WBC – fought back in the third and fourth and brought the raucous to its feet before Wach forced the stoppage in the closing minutes of the sixth.

Even at age 46, Oliver McCall is as quick with his words as he is with his signature right hand, the same one he used to turn the heavyweight division on its ear in 1994 when he knocked out Lennox Lewis.
Now the former world champion is gearing up for one last run at heavyweight supremacy, a journey that continues Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., when he faces undefeated Mariusz Wach (25-0, 13 KOs) for the World Boxing Council (WBC) International heavyweight title. The 12-round Wach-McCall showdown is the main event of Jimmy Burchfield's Classic Entertainment & Sports' "November Reign" professional boxing event, presented in association with Global Boxing Promotions.

The most feared fighter in boxing's 135-pound division closed out another stellar season of "Friday Night Fights" on ESPN and, quite possibly, wrote the final chapter of David Diaz's outstanding career.
Philadelphia's "Hammerin" Hank Lundy (21-1-1, 11 KOs) defended his North American Boxing Federation (NABF) lightweight title in his first attempt Friday, knocking out Diaz 37 seconds into the sixth round of their scheduled 10-round nationally-televised co-feature at The Venue at the Horseshoe Casino. Friday's event, promoted by Hitz Boxing in association with Banner Promotions, was the season finale of ESPN's "Friday Night Fights" series.

Whoever happens to be standing across from Vladine Biosse when "Mr. Providence" makes his long-awaited return to the ring later this year might be forced to bear the brunt of Biosse's pent-up frustration.
"We're in the gym ready to kill somebody," Biosse said. "I hope the next guy is training hard."

When Peter Manfredo, Jr. returns to the ring in his native Providence, RI at the Twin River Casino this Friday to face the game Jhon Berrio in a scheduled ten round bout, it will be his first fight under contract with his new promoter, Lou DiBella.

International Boxing Organization middleweight champion Peter Manfredo Jr. will take on Jhon Berrio (15-7, 11 KOs) of Colombia in a 10-round nontitle fight Friday night at the Twin River Event Center in Lincoln.
It's been two years since Manfredo (35-6, 19 KOs) last fought in Rhode Island, but the former star of "The Contender" television series obviously enjoys fighting in his backyard. He has a 16-1 (10 KOs) pro record in Rhode Island, including 3-0 (3 KOs) at Twin River.
